Online Course: Preventing Rock Fall Injuries in Underground Mines
Preventing Rock Fall Injuries in Underground Mines, the second in the online Mine Safety and Health Training series, is now live! These courses are by Elaine T. Cullen, an MSHA certified instructor with over 35 years experience working to improve health and safety in mining. This short, three-hour learning program features video content, along with EduMine’s usual text and images, to enhance the learning experience and appeal to a wide range of course participants.
The underground miner faces a constant hazard from rockfalls. In order to protect yourself and your co-workers, it is necessary that you understand why rock falls, and what you can do to keep yourself safe. While the mandates of the mining regulatory agencies are law in the U.S., they are also comprehensive enough to be considered best practice for mining in countries throughout the world.
