Jack Caldwell and Ian Hutchison’s upcoming webcast will explore mine surface water; mine groundwater; geotechnical principles in mine water balances; and the management and closure of mine tailings, waste rock, and heap leach facilities. The course covers the theoretical and practical aspects of mine waste management: from objectives and approaches to simple equations, principles and practice, and case histories. This course is intended to augment the knowledge of those responsible for the hands-on design, construction, operation, and closure of tailings facilities, and similar mine waste structures such as waste rock dumps and spent heap leach pads.
This three-session webcast will be held November 19, 20 & 21, 2012, and you can attend from anywhere! For more details or to register, see the course page. Register before October 19th for the Early Bird discount!
