InfoMine is excited to announce that they are organizing the Mine Water Solutions in Extreme Environments 2015 conference, in partnership with MWH, which will take place April 12 to 15, 2015 in Vancouver, Canada.
Early bird registration is open until March 9. Be sure to secure your spot now at the discounted early bird rate.
Mine Water Solutions in Extreme Environments 2015 is the second in an innovative new conference series that examines a wide range of issues associated with mine water management in extremely wet, dry, and cold climates, and in regions with extreme hydrogeological and geochemical issues.
The conference will provide a forum for discussing successful practices that facilitate responsible mining in challenging environments while preserving water resources. All aspects of mine water management will be addressed, including hydrogeology, diversion, water conservation, minimizing water-quality impacts, water treatment, and regulatory and social challenges.
The compelling technical program will include over 50 presentations delivered by international experts from mining and engineering companies, as well as universities and research centres. Each of the three days of the conference will commence with an insightful and thought-provoking keynote address. Not to be missed is the discussion panel Bridge over Troubled Waters: Interactive Panel Dialogue, in which panelists will discuss solutions for bridging the technical and community information divide.
InfoMine will also be offering the following short courses prior to the conference:
Course 1: Passive Treatment of Contaminated Mine Drainage
Dr. André Sobolewski, Impact Assessment and Water Treatment Specialist, Clear Coast Consulting, Inc., Canada
Course 2: The Role of Water Management in Historic Tailings Dam Failures
