Online Certification is a Convenient Way to Satisfy Your CPD Obligations

Online certification presents a cost-effective opportunity to expand your knowledge by taking career-enhancing courses, with the convenience of online certification and 24/7 accessibility, and to satisfy your professional development obligations at the same time.

EduMine has online, self-learning, self-paced courses on almost every aspect of mining and the geosciences, authored by specialists in their fields… The course library covers numerous topics in exploration, engineering, environment, social responsibility, health and safety, mining, mineral processing and management.

EduMine’s courses and online certification have been approved by the International Association of Continuing Education and Training (IACET), which conducts regular onsite audits. As a result, EduMine can award Continuing Education Units (CEUs) or Professional Development Hours (PDHs) (1 CEU = 10 PDH) to those who complete online certification in a qualifying course. CEUs and PDHs are recognized by professional associations and licensing boards around the world as acceptable measures of Continuing Professional Development (CPD). Many courses also qualify as credit towards university certificate programs (see Certificate in Mining Studies).

Certification in a course requires completion of a series of interactive reviews comprising randomly-selected multiple-choice questions designed to confirm your achievement of the stated learning objectives for the course. Attendance and performance records are maintained for a minimum of seven years. Certification cost is a fraction of that for attendance at traditional, face-to-face classroom courses and presents a cost-effective opportunity to satisfy your professional development obligations.
