This course is for anyone concerned with the mineralogy and processing of ores from precious metals. Professor Klein will provide in depth coverage of many topics connected to precious metals, including the nature of precious metal ores, process flow sheets, sampling and analyses, process development, gravity concentration, flotation of precious metals, leaching processes, gold recovery, oxidative pretreatment, cyanidation and its impact on the environment.
