The management of groundwater on mine sites has become of greater importance in recent years. Proper management is particularly important from the aspect of environmental concerns as well as its impact on slope stability and dewatering of open pits. In his new course, Groundwater Modelling for Mining, Dr. Murray Fredlund will examine the aspects of groundwater modelling as they relate to problems typically encountered at mine sites. The course will be presented in English with simultaneous Spanish interpretation.
This two-day engineering course will be held May 27 – 28 in Lima, Peru. For more info and to register, see the course page. Register before April 26th and receive a 10% early bird discount.
Groundwater Modelling for Mining is one course in a series of six professional development in mining courses, presented in collaboration with PUCP and made possible by the support of Compañía Minera Antamina S.A. For more details, view the series brochure.
