Last week was a great week for EduMine and we would like to take a moment to express our appreciation to all that have made our success possible!
On May 11th EduMine’s founder and VP, Simon Houlding was awarded the Vale Medal at the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum (CIM’s) annual conference in Montreal, an honor that is presented as a mark of distinction and recognition to the person who has made a meritorious and practical contribution of outstanding importance to the mining and metallurgical industry of Canada. See more details here.
At the same night’s gala dinner held at the CIM conference, two of EduMine’s long-standing course authors and presenters were also celebrated:
Ian Thomson was honored as Distinguished Lecturer in recognition of his dedication to promoting sustainability in the industry and the CIM community.
Lawrence Devon Smith received the CIM Fellowship Award for outstanding continuous contributions to CIM and/or the mining, metallurgical and petroleum industries.
A big Thank You extends to our many authors and presenters who continue to contribute and provide us with a wide range of mining courses, and who support us by ensuring up-to-date content and knowledge transfer on an ongoing basis.
Our Thank You wouldn’t be complete without mentioning EduMine’s numerous partners and affiliates representing the global mining industry, including universities, mining schools, business schools, professional associations and institutions, as well as mining companies and suppliers. In particular the Norman B. Keevil Institute of Mining Engineering at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada, which has been collaborating with EduMine since its inception.
We also thank you, course attendees and online course takers from around the world, that take our courses and provide us with feedback – your comments give us valuable insight so we continue to strive for excellence and better serve the global mining community – Thank You!
Lastly, we appreciate all the dedication and hard work EduMine’s team has put in over more than 15 years, including InfoMine staff support and expertise, helping EduMine grow into what it’s known for today: the largest provider of online professional development and training for mining in the world.
Thank You All – we could have not done it without YOU!
